Capen Hall - UB North Campus

Directions, Parking & Transportation

To the North (Amherst) Campus

  • From Airport to North Campus--Amherst (7 miles)
    Leave airport; follow signs to Route 33 West (Kensington Expressway). Follow to Route 90 East (to Albany) and take Exit 50 onto Route 290 (Niagara Falls). Exit at Millersport Highway North Route 263. Exit off Millersport Highway onto the Flint Entrance of the University.

  • To proceed to the Career Services office:
    At the Flint Entrance proceed to the signal light, make a right turn onto Flint Road. At the stop sign, make a left turn onto Augspurger Road. Take Augspurger Road to the end and make a right turn onto Hadley Road. Take Hadley Road to the end and make a right on to White Road. On the right side is the entrance to the Visitor Information Center and Visitor Parking (Governors A/Fronczak B lot)

  • Driving Directions to the North Campus--Amherst
    Take the New York State Thruway (I-90) (portions are toll road) to the I-290 west.
  • Proceed west on the I-290 (Youngman Expressway) until exit 5B, Millersport Highway north. When you exit onto Millersport Highway, proceed through one traffic light (Flint Road intersection), past the Maple Road exit, and continue to the Flint Entrance.

    To proceed to the Career Services Office:
    At the Flint Entrance proceed to the signal light, make a right turn onto Flint Road. At the stop sign, make a left turn onto Augspurger Road. Take Augspurger Road to the end and make a right turn onto Hadley Road. Take Hadley Road to the end and make a right on to White Road. On the right side is the entrance to the Visitor Information Center and Visitor Parking (Governors A/Fronczak B lot)

    To the South (Main St.) Campus

  • From the Airport to South Campus--Main Street (7 miles)
    Leave airport; follow signs onto Route 33 West (Kensington Expressway). Take Route 90 East (to Albany) and follow Exit 50 onto Route 290 (Niagara Falls). Exit at NY Route 5, Main Street WEST. Travel West on Main Street to Bailey Avenue (about 4 miles), turn left onto Bailey. Drive as far as the second signal (across from the Veterans Hospital), turn right, drive to stop sign, and park in appropriate lot.

  • Driving Directions to the South Campus--Main Street
    Take the New York State Thruway (I-90) (portions are a toll road) to I-290 west.
    Proceed west on I-290 to Exit 7A, Main Street west (Route 5). Travel about 3 miles to Bailey Avenue (Route 62). Turn left on to Bailey and right on to Michael Road into UB South Campus.

    University Parking Regulations

    Career Services will provide guest permits in advance to allow parking anywhere on campus except at metered, clinical, handicapped spaces, or service areas. Once you have your permit, proceed to the Paid Visitors Parking Lot (West on Augspurger, North on Hadley, East on White Road, proceed into Governors A/Fronczak B Lot).

    *ANYONE NOT PARKED IN DESIGNATED AREAS WILL BE GIVEN A TICKET AND CAREER SERVICES CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR TICKETED VEHICLES.

    If you do not have a Parking Permit, you may park in the Paid Visitor's Lot (above). There will be a small fee to park between 7 am and 3 pm in this lot.

    Employers interviewing on campus: You will park in the Paid Visitor's Lot (Governors A/Fronczak B). Please see above for directions to our office. The Attendant will know you are arriving so please identify your name and company to her.
