Connect with a Career Services Counselor!

Individual Appointments:

To make an individual appointment with a counselor, call 645-2231. Meeting with a career counselor can assist you with any aspect of your career planning. If you are trying to make a decision about your major or career choice, find a job or internship, or choose a graduate or professional school program, a career counselor can help.

  • Choosing a Career or Major
You don't have to do this alone! Meeting with counselors can help you understand yourself and your options, as well as develop a plan of action to help you gain confidence in your ability to make good decisions. Counselors can also suggest assessment tools to help you better articulate your interests, values, skills and personality characteristics.
  • Finding a Job or Internship
Finding a job or internship that's right for you can be challenging. A counselor can help you solidify your goals, identify appropriate resources, and introduce new strategies to make your search more time-efficient and comprehensive.
  • Exploring Graduate or Professional School Options
Is graduate school right for you? If you are thinking about continuing your education, you may want to visit a counselor to help you with this important decision. Counselors can help you sort out if the time is right for graduate/professional school, provide tools to help you select programs that are right for you, and guide your navigation of the application process.

Quick Question Hours:

Counselors are available during Quick Question hours from 8:30 - 5 pm in the Career Services Career Library, Capen 259. Quick Question hours are for students who have short inquiries that last under 10-15 minutes. Examples of Quick Questions might include a brief review of your resume or cover letter, a question about an upcoming interview, or an inquiry regarding on-campus job opportunities. If you would like a longer time period, please call for an appointment (645-2231). It is always a good idea to call the office if you are planning to stop by at a particular time to ensure that there have not been changes to the daily schedule.
