LGBTQ Career Resources
UB Career Services recognizes that the needs and concerns of students are as varied as the student body is diverse. We acknowledge that a one-size-fits-all approach will never be sufficient at meeting all students' needs. As such, we are sensitive to the needs and concerns of the LGBTQ community and are committed to ensuring that all students are equipped with the resources necessary to succeed professionally, and make a comfortable transition from education to employment. As staff and allies, we strive to:
- Respect each interpretation of self/sexuality/gender
- Ensure LGBTQ students find meaningful lifelong career fulfillment that is both rewarding and safe
- Provide resources to help students locate LGBTQ-friendly employers
- Identify strategies to overcome the challenges and answer the questions faced by LGBTQ students both on the job and during the job search
- Sustain our commitment to learning about the unique needs and concerns of the LGBTQ community
